How to play

Tidepool Word Trails

Find every listed word in a straight line through the grid. Words can run horizontally, vertically or diagonally, forwards or backwards. Find the gold word last for 50 bonus points and an extra shell. Finish a pool, then choose Next tidepool. Each pool offers one free hint that lights up a word's starting tile.

Touch and mouseDrag from the first to last letter, or tap/click the two ends. Use Hint for one free starting-letter clue per pool.
KeyboardArrow keys move the focus. Enter or Space selects each end. Backspace cancels a selection. H gives a hint. Enter or Space advances a finished pool. Escape or P pauses; M toggles sound.

About

Explore a trail of 18 tidepools by finding the marine and nature words hidden in each letter grid. Trace words across, down or diagonally, in either direction, and watch each discovery become a colorful ribbon.

Save the gold shell word for last to earn 50 extra points and a second shell. The grids grow from 5 by 5 to 7 by 7, with new directions introduced along the trail. There is no timer or life limit, and each pool offers one free starting-letter hint.

Play with a drag, tap the two ends, or use the keyboard. Your current pool, found words and score are saved so you can return to the trail later.
